Victory Christian Center is a church, a body of Christ, made up of families who love the LORD and desire to be obedient to the Word of God. We are motivated by Scripture and led by the Spirit. Recently, the LORD has been challenging us to be a true Body of Christ.
For the Body of Christ to mature it must be willing to bear one another's burdens and to put love into action. Anything less than this is not fulfilling the law of Christ. We're learning about being more transparent with one another. Pride can hinder this. Though the Bible says we should confess our sins to each other, pride can trump Scripture and silence us. Though the Bible says we should love one another and bear one another's burden, pride can lead us to hide behind a nice churchy smile and give the false impression that all is good. When pride drives us deeper into a private life, we are less of the Body. When we refuse to be transparent, no one can bear our burden because no one knows it.
A true Body of Christ is a family of God who loves each other so much that they desire to make sure everyone is okay. Everyone looks fine at church, singing in the choir, eating at a pot-luck meal but are they really? How well do you really know they people of Christ that you love? Are they hurting? Are they hungry? Are they at the end of their rope. What about you? Are you lonely and have no one to share your life with because pride is preventing you from opening up to those who love you and want to help?
The Body of Christ is a transparent group of Christ-followers who desire to help one another mature in Christ and live a victorious life.

On July 25 VCC experienced an exciting re-baptism of one of our members. Here is her testimony and some pictures:
After thinking about getting re-baptized for some time, the Lord impressed upon me that when I was baptized at an early age I didn't do it for the right reason and that I needed to be re-baptized. So after church I talked Pastor David and he agreed that if I felt that way then I should go ahead and be baptized. So it was arranged and was held at the Watts' house that evening.
